Property Zen then notifies owner first, giving DIY owners a chance to handle themselves, or do nothing and let Property Zen hire a pro starting with your preferred vendor (My Team). Better Communication

Once a ticket is created, all parties are given a group text number unique for that ticket to communicate. Tenants and vendor can schedule work while owner can see the progress and participate in the chat.  This allows the landlord to be updated on progress and the option to be as involved as they like in resolving the maintenance issue.

How it Works

Tenant Texts in Maintenance Request

The owner receives a text about the maintenance request first, containing all necessary information: tenant details, phone number, unit address, and a description of the issue. The owner can respond with 'yes' to take on the job, 'no' to fast-track hiring a pro, or do nothing, in which case a maintenance professional will be automatically hired after a set period, starting with the vendors owner has added to 'My Team'.


Dedicated Group Text Line

Once a vendor is hired, Property Zen establishes a group text line that includes the vendor, all tenants, and the owner. This allows the vendor and tenants to easily schedule maintenance, while the owner can join the conversation if necessary. The vendor can also receive important property information provided by the owner on property detail page, such as access info and water shutoff instructions. All messages are recorded on the dashboard for easy review at any time.


Ticket Closure and Payment

When a ticket is closed, the owner will be notified of the resolution. The vendor will send billing information via text, and the owner will receive a secure payment link through PayPal, owners do not need a PayPal account to pay with credit card. Small resolution fee is added to completed tickets, so you only pay when we solve a problem for you!
